1. Referral Candy | Singapore
ReferralCandy, developed by Singapore-based startup Anafore, is an app that lets users easily implement refer-a-friend programs using email marketing. It is integrated with major e-commerce platforms like Shopify and Magento. The startup has recently raised S$1 million (US$778,000) in an oversubscribed funding round.
2. Brand Clozet | Indonesia
Launched on February 7, BrandClozet offers weekly flash sales of local and international labels in Indonesia. It is run by founder Detty Wulandari, who is affiliated with Fazzione, an Indonesian startup that has offered flash sales to its members since 2012.
3. ITviec | Vietnam
Vietnam’s ITviec is a job recruitment site targeted specifically at IT companies in the country, that was launched back in July last year. The company has revealed some interesting information about the IT sector in Vietnam in an infographic.
4. Cinnamon | Japan
Cinnamon, the Japanese startup that pitched its photo app Seconds at last year’s Startup Asia Singapore, yesterday announced it received $1.5 million in funding from CyberAgent Ventures, TBS Innovation Partners, Incubate Fund, and Golden Gate Ventures. The funding comes just in time for the company’s launch of PicChat, a revamp of the original Seconds app which has since been removed from the App Store and Google Play.
5. Appzilo | Malaysia
Malaysia-based startup Appzilo is a platform that lets app developers advertise their apps through an allotted space in their website and convert those views into more users and revenue.
6. Art Loft | Singapore
Launched late last year, Art Loft is a website for buying and renting art founded by an art enthusiast and the founders of Soldgers, a Singapore startup in the penny auction business that shut down late last year.
To date, the startup has north of 500 art pieces on the site and are looking to raise seed money.
