This awesome spreadsheet helps you find the perfect VC in Southeast Asia

If you’re a startup founder in Southeast Asia looking to raise venture capital money, you might be inundated by the sheer amount of choices. This spreadsheet can help.

Created by Florian Cornu, co-founder of Flocations and an entrepreneur-in-residence at Singapore VC firm Majuven, the document aggregates data compiled by me, Meng Weng Wong of JFDI, and Jon Russell of TechCrunch.

What I like about this is that you can filter the list of VCs based on how much you want to raise, the valuation of your company, or the assets under management (AUM) of the investment firm. The list covers the whole gamut of a startup’s lifecycle, from seed to late stage rounds.

Based on Cornu’s research, which coincides with the estimation by Justin Hall of Golden Gate Ventures, Southeast Asia has around US$975 million worth of ready capital that will be available for startups. About a third of that is still on the way.

He writes in a blog post: “We can expect 25 to 100 series A rounds of US$5 million to US$20 million in the next two to three years.”

Southeast Asia’s VC industry is still small compared to India’s and China’s. But this is progress.
