Facebook co-founder Eduardo Saverin is coming to TIA SG 2016

Eduardo-Saverin

If Facebook were a country, it would be the most populous nation in the world. And if you count as one of the 1.39 billion citizens in that hypothetical nation, we’re sure you’ll be as excited as we are to welcome its co-founder and prominent angel investor, Eduardo Saverin to Tech in Asia Singapore 2016.

The latest industry rockstar to join us on the main stage, Eduardo Saverin has been recognized as an active player in the Asian tech ecosystem. Since his move to Singapore in 2009, he has invested in several local startups including 99.co, Redmart and Hopscotch (Disclosure: Eduardo Saverin is also an investor of Tech in Asia. See our ethics page for more information).

What’s it like being on the receiving end of his investments? A huge win, according to his portfolio companies. It’s not just Eduardo’s global connections that put him in a great position to help his portfolio startups expand quickly into other countries, or the endorsement that comes with having a big-name investor on board. His sharp insights on acquiring customers and marketing, which he readily shares, is something that has helped startups like 99.co scale at speed. Not forgetting, his inside perspective from co-founding an insanely successful company, Facebook, is a goldmine any entrepreneur would be thrilled to tap on.

While Eduardo has historically made these investments in the capacity of an angel investor, he is transitioning into more traditional VC activities. He is now the founding partner at Bcapital Group, a venture capital backed by Boston Consulting Group and BCG Digital Ventures.
