App Annie’s head of research, Danielle Levitas is TIA SG 2016’s next Main Stage speaker

We’re excited to shed light on some critical developments in the mobile app economy, with the help of our next speaker at Tech in Asia Singapore 2016: Danielle Levitas from App Annie. The senior vice president of research and analysis at the app analytics firm will grace our Main Stage to share game changing insights and forecasts in the mobile app economy.
In Danielle’s keynote session, she will take us through all we need to know about the app world today by answering key questions such as:
- How quickly will the app economy grow?
- Which factors are driving its growth?
- What is the next big thing for the app economy?
It’s amazing the way mobile has become an indispensable part of our lives in just a few short years. It’s likely to be the one thing we see more than our spouses, or children. It’s the only thing that follows us both into the boardroom and the washroom, as well as the first and last thing we see every day. And 85 percent of our time spent on smartphones is within apps.
With consumers constantly tuning in, businesses around the world are trying to dominate the app market. And they are turning to App Annie to figure out how.
App Annie has recently muscled up, securing US$63 million in its latest series E funding. This brings its total disclosed funds raised over the past five years to to US$157 million. On top of that, the Beijing-founded, San Francisco-based company acquired Distimo in May 2014 and a year later, Mobidia. App Annie’s growing momentum in the recent years reflects part of a bigger and more important trend – the rise of the mobile app empire.
This year, China’s app market is predicted to overtake the US to claim the top spot for app downloads. In fact, the entire pie is growing – the app economy is poised to exceed a whopping US$100 billion in four years’ time, doubling its current valuation.
The underlying sentiment is obvious: mobile apps are an increasingly crucial aspect of all businesses, no longer just relevant to those in the gaming and media industries.
If you want to catch the mobile wave while there’s still time, this is a session you cannot afford to miss.
