Vietnam-based edtech firm MindX said it has tripled its geographical footprint to over 32 campuses in its home country since its 2021 series A round. The company said this makes it the largest platform for teaching coding in Southeast Asia.

The company has also expanded its offerings and now offers courses in blockchain, data analytics, and UI/UX design. It’s looking to ride that wave of growth with another round of funding, led by education-focused private equity fund Kaizenvest.

Funding details

  • Funding amount: $15,000,000

The startup, founded in 2015, has trained over 35,000 students of different ages. Some of its graduates have landed jobs in nearly 20 countries, while others have started their own businesses.

MindX plans to use the funding to grow its online platform, create more educational content, and reach more students in smaller cities and rural areas in Vietnam.

Additionally, the firm aims to connect Vietnamese tech workers with employers in other parts of the world, such as the US and Europe. MindX has partnered with over 200 companies in Singapore, Australia, Thailand, and other countries to provide global access to the digital workforce from Vietnam.
