Bangalore-based event content aggregation web platform Eventifier announced today it has secured $500,000 funding from Accel Partners and KAE Capital. The follow-on funding will be used to build Eventifier “into the largest event archiving platform in the world,” says co-founder Jazeel Badur Ferry.

Eventifier is a social media content aggregator tool that automatically archives fragmented audience-generated content about an event using hashtags from around the web. This lets both organizers and attendees to see all such content in one convenient place.

“There hasn’t been a way for event managers to do it effectively”, says technical co-founder Nazim Zeeshan.

Eventifier says it has now archived more than 2,000 events around the world since it launched in June last year. It’s managed to bring on some big name clients such as NASA, Twitter, and Pearson in the corporate and professional conference circuit.

This is Eventifier’s second funding round this year. It received an undisclosed sum from KAE Capital and The Startup Centre in April.

Accel Partners’ portfolio includes internationally renowned companies such as Facebook, Groupon, Flipkart, Supercell, Dropbox, Cloudera, Kayak, and 99 Designs. KAE Capital’s previous investments include InMobi, Healthkart, and Squeakee.
