Developed by Hanoi-based Dotgears, the Vietnamese super hit mobile game is back as Flappy Birds Family only available (for free) on Amazon’s Fire TV platform. The gameplay is pretty much the same with added multiplayer feature. Players drive the bird through pipes and ghosts and will be able to challenge friends on Amazon Fire TV side by side. The game looks simple but remains difficult which tends to cause players to pull their hair when their birds hit the green pipe. Despite all the frustrations, players just can’t stop playing.
Flappy Bird fans who own a Amazon Fire TV might want to download the game while they can. As player nicknamed “Samazon” commented on Amazon:
Incredible, so excited to spend countless attempts to make it past 5 pipes. Might want to download this one quick in case the Flappy Bird app disappears again!
The game was removed from both the iOS and Android app stores earlier this year. Dotgears boss and Flappy Bird creator Dong Nguyen explained on Twitter that it isn’t due to legal issues. “I just cannot keep it anymore,” he tweeted.
With Flappy Bird out, Nguyen’s game has inspired and sparked a series of similar games on the app stores which include Pugo and Amazing Cupid.
Nguyen’s games isn’t all about Flappy Bird though. He revealed on Twitter that he is making a new game. Besides this tweet no other details were provided so it’s up to anyone’s guess what his new game is all about.
