Day two of the New Bloom Festival gives us Terrorblade, Random Ability Draft, and 6.80
Last time, we asked you if you wanted to play as Terrorblade or Abyssal Underlord in Dota 2. This time, we’re telling you that you can now officially play as Terrorblade, as soon as the latest patch gets implemented to the main client. But that’s not all. For the second day of Dota 2‘s New Bloom Festival, not only do we have a new hero and a new game mode, but also the 6.80 patch update.
Terrorblade is here!

From Warcraft 3 (WC3) DotA, Terrorblade has been one of the most annoying heroes to go up against. His ultimate skill, Sunder, exchanges his life points with another in an instant. Also, most players know Terrorblade to be the brother of Anti-Mage in WC3 DotA. This backstory, however, is not mentioned in the Dota 2 lore although Anti-Mage’s set of responses include referring to Terrorblade as ‘brother’.

Just like Legion Commander, Terrorblade will also get his very own Arcana item, The Fractal Shard of Inner Abysm on February 6.

Unlock the Random Ability Draft

Sometimes, you play Dota 2 for serious matches. Other times, you play to have fun and get crazy. It seems Valve had the latter in mind with the Random Ability Draft. All players receive random heroes. Each hero’s ability is placed in a pool from which the players will take turns choosing from. This game mode is only available at level 11, at which point players should already have a good grasp of the skills of most heroes in-game.
Behold the 6.80 patch update
Remember when 6.79 was ported into Dota 2 like a blazing meteor full of crazy changes? As it seems, 6.80 isn’t something as crazy as that, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t any changes. Here are some notable changes to be aware of:
