We speculated about Dota 2’s Chinese New Year event, but with the announcement of the New Bloom Festival, we can finally give you the details about what you can expect.
The recent announcement gives hints of a new enemy known as the Year Beast, which can only be dealt with using explosives known as the Flamesalt Ingots.
And just like Wraith Night’s Shining and Phantom Fragments used to redeem rewards, the New Bloom Festival has Jade Tokens, which can be traded for lockless Bloom Bounties. There are also various in-game items, which you can receive for this event:
As it seems, this is just day one, which means we can expect more announcements and additional details over the next few days. Valve has not announced an exact date for when this will be ported in-game, but since it’s for Chinese New Year, perhaps we can expect it to come in a major update some time this week.
