It’s Sunday, so we’re back with a compilation of startups in the region! Remember, for startup tips and story suggestions, feel free to email us. Alternatively, you can send tips here and/or tell us about your startup here. Enjoy this week’s list!
1. Shopious | Indonesia
Shopious is a brand new C2C e-commerce marketplace that makes it debut this week. It has a strong fashion focus, along with a couple of social features such as allowing you to follow merchant stores, Pinterest-like image presentation, and a news feed that can give product suggestions to users based on what they follow on the platform.
2. Collabspot | Singapore
Collabspot, a sales email platform, is one of JFDI’s 2013 batch of startups. It received a round of seed funding this week – that’s before it has even graduated from the incubator! The platform combines Gmail with customer relations management (CRM) tools like HighRise.
3. App.io | Australia
Melbourne-based App.oi, previously known as Kickfolio, is an interactive HTML5 marketing tool that allows users to run iOS apps in browsers. This week, the startup successfully raised a seed round led by Quest VP, with follow-on investments by 500 Startups and many more.
4. Pirate3D | Singapore
Pirate3D is a Singapore-based startup that develops what it claims to be the world’s most affordable 3D printer. Just a few months ago, the startup got a seed round of funding and this week it lauched its crowdfunding campaign – which turned out to be hugely popular.
5. SocialProject.PH | Philippines
Created in 2012, SocialProject.PH is a donation- and rewards-based crowdfunding platform that features projects from registered and credible organizations benefitting various social causes in the Philippines.
6. UserScout | Singapore
In yet more rebranding action this week, the Singapore-based startup formerly called Referoll is now known as UserScout. Plus, it has now evolved into a full software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform where anyone is able to post market research projects and manage survey participants on his or her own.
