22 Startups in Asia That Caught Our Eye

1. 5945 | Taiwan

5945 is Taiwan’s up-and-coming online home repairs marketplace startup. The model is similar to America’s Redbeacon, which was acquired by Home Depot last year.


2. Wish.vn | Vietnam

Wish.vn is a healthcare social network community in Vietnam. It is basically a combination of electronic health records, a social network to allow patients to rate health care, healthcare information, promotions connecting with partners, and tools to help you keep up your health.


3. Zipdial | India

ZipDial is a unique company from Bangalore, India, that monetizes from missed calls. Its business model has caught the attention of Singapore-based Jungle Ventures who invested in the startup this week. Plus, ZipDial unveiled some expansion plans.


4. The Spark Project | Philippines

Officially launched in February 2012, The Spark Project is a crowdfunding community where Filipinos can support and fund creative, innovative, and passion driven projects.


5. Sieu Web | Vietnam

Sieu Web, which means Super Web in Vietnamese, is a new website-building platform that’s designed to make website creation very easy, with responsive designs and an easy-to-use dashboard for the user backend. It’s specifically designed for small businesses, e-commerce sites, and individuals – many of whom won’t be familiar with HTML or CSS.


6. Gotcha | Indonesia

Gotcha.in, which will fully launch next month, has created its own version of captcha which doesn’t require site visitors to type given words. Plus it gives website owners a way to make money while blocking spammers.
