Line celebrates 200 million games downloaded, holds 7-day games fest

Japan-based mobile messaging company Line continues to grow fast. Its Line Game platform and suite of mobile games has surpassed 200 million downloads, NHN Japan revealed today. That’s only 14 months after the initial launch of gaming within the app.
To celebrate this milestone, Line will hold a seven-day game fest, starting tomorrow. There will be special bonuses for gaming on the platform during that week. There are 36 games in Line Game’s collection right now, such as Line POP (available for iOS and Android), Line Jelly (Android and iOS), and Line Bubble (available for Android and iOS). Up to seven games will be featured each day.
Line has just over 230 million registered users right now, and is proving especially popular in Japan, Thailand, and Indonesia.
Check the Line blog for details of the virtual items on offer at certain times.
