Korean cap table management software bags $5m in funding

Quotabook, a South Korea-based equity and fund management platform, announced that it has raised US$5 million in funding from Elefund, Draper Associates, Goodwater Capital, and Carta Ventures, the investment arm of US-based equity management platform Carta.

Prior to the latest funding, Quotabook has been backed by more than 20 local venture capital firms and banks, according to the company’s statement. It has also graduated from Y Combinator’s Winter 21 Batch.

Founded in 2019 by three venture capitalists, Andy Choi, Dan Hong, and Pilseon Jun, Quotabook helps VCs manage investment funds and portfolios on a single dashboard. Moreover, startups can use the platform to simplify cap tables, equity rewards, and valuations. The service also updates investors about a company’s business performance.

Quotabook claims to be the first cap table management software in South Korea.

To date, the startup has onboarded more than 1,000 cap tables, which are cumulatively worth US$2 billion in private equity. With the latest funding, the company plans to expand its service to other countries, including Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand, and Singapore.
