Hello reader,
It’s easy to find free investor lists on LinkedIn today. And AI chatbots like ChatGPT and Perplexity make it feel like everything is just a prompt away.
But after compiling today’s Big Story on Southeast Asia’s top angel investors, I can say this: Most of the lists you can readily find are far from complete.
Unlike VC deals, which often make headlines, angel investments rarely show up in media reports. I only discovered many of these by digging through Singapore’s company registry – case by case.
Many argue that founders may no longer need endless funding rounds from VCs. With AI, they can raise seed capital, build lean teams and sustainable businesses, and bootstrap the rest. That might make founders seek out angel investors more than ever.
I hope this list, which we’ll keep updating, helps founders connect to potential angels. We’ve also included their full portfolio companies to give you a sense of their investment theses.
