A new contender has emerged in the Philippine stock trading industry. After a year of development, online investment platform DragonFi was launched today, offering users a customizable trading experience.

Tony Tan Caktiong and Edgar Sia, two billionaires behind fast-food restaurant chains Jollibee and Mang Inasal, are listed as co-founders of DragonFi. According to Bloomberg, the duo have invested in the trading firm, but details of their investment are unclear.

With the ability to create personalized layouts and multi-monitor support, DragonFi offers advanced charts with over 100 studies, indicators, and drawing tools available on its web and mobile app. Opening an account on the platform also takes just about 30 minutes, its website wrote.

Jon Carlo Lim, CEO and another co-founder of the company, stated that DragonFi is striving to become the leading investment platform in the country, competing against international players such as Charles Schwab, TD Ameritrade, Thinkorswim, and Interactive Brokers.

“As a matter of fact, we share the same technology as some of the largest brokerage firms in the US,” Lim said in a LinkedIn post.
