5 Uber drivers got arrested in Jakarta.

So today 5 uber drives are arrested by the police. The debate about legality of Uber is always an interesting topic to go, but the thing is the police arrest the DRIVER! I feel this is unjust because this 5 drivers maybe don’t understand and don’t know about that. I mean can they just go get the management? Why must take the drivers?

This action I believe is initiated by ORGANDA (Organisasi Pengusaha Nasional Angkutan Bermotor di Jalan) or in english, Land Transportation Business Owner Organisation. The head of the organisation, Shafruhan order Uber using his smartphone and assign his colleague that act as passenger to bring the Uber to police office.

I understand that they (ORGANDA) hate Uber but, seriously they can go to Uber office, bring police, and legal letter instead of trapping this 5 drivers that happen to drive Uber to earn living, and don’t understand about the legality issue.

This is damn bad. Very bad way of conducting law.
