The two-year program will be aimed at companies in areas such as digital, medtech, biotech, cleantech, agritech, and fintech industries, according to a statement. It will provide the companies access to business networks, Singapore’s startup ecosystem, and talent to set up new teams in the city-state.

Qualifying teams will have the Employment Pass applications of their core team members facilitated under the program.

EDB managing director Chng Kai Fong said that the program will not only help firms attract tech talent but also create opportunities for “Singaporeans to work in globally competitive teams alongside top engineers and entrepreneurs from all over the world.”

The pilot program is expected to begin in the fourth quarter of this year.

Tech@SG will run alongside existing initiatives such as Infocomm Media Development Authority’s TechSkills Accelerator and the SG: Digital Talent 2019 campaign.
