Cross’ appointment will help Razer Fintech to accelerate its strategy to build a global fintech platform, the company said in a statement.
“We are excited to have Neal on board with us and look forward to drawing on his experience and innovative ideas to guide us as we look to broaden Razer Fintech’s scope of services into areas such as financial and digital banking services,” said Razer co-founder and CEO Min-Liang Tan.

Prior to joining Razer, Cross served as managing director and chief innovation officer at DBS Bank. He was also vice president for Mastercard Labs Asia, Middle East, and Africa, as well as financial services industry director for Microsoft Asia.
Cross is currently the chairman of Australia-based fintech firm PictureWealth, which he co-founded several years ago.
He joins other members of Razer Fintech’s advisory board: former GIC group president Lim Siong Guan and former DBS Bank chairman Koh Boon Hwee.
The company also named former UOB Bank group technology head Eduard Fabian as chief technology officer just last month. He was previously chief information officer at Sun Life Financial, managing director at Citi, and director at Oracle.
