Visual discovery platform Pinterest announced the official opening of its Singapore office, a move that reflects the company’s expanding reach in Asia Pacific.

The new office, which is the US-based company’s second in the region after opening its Tokyo office in 2013, is set to service Southeast Asia and India.
The Singapore office will start off with a team of local talent focused on driving growth. It will support relationships with brands and publishers as well as work on localization for different cultures in the region.
Pinterest said that APAC is one of the fastest-growing markets for the company, claiming that users from the region have increased by more than 50% over the past year.
The company said that its Singapore team has already been working with partners such as Vogue India and Miss Malini in India and MasakTV, Tastemade, and Femina Magazine in Indonesia.
