During our previous trip to South Korea, we paid a visit to Kakao Corporation‘s office in Seongnam city. Located in an industrial hub called Pangyo Techno Valley, Kakao Corporation develops one of Asia’s top mobile messaging applications – Kakao Talk, which has reached an impressive 100 million users back in July and also recently launched a Spotify-esque platform called KakaoMusic.
Kakao has also added a range of other apps to its family such as group-chat app KakaoGroup, digital marketplace place KakaoPage, and a wildly successful gaming platform that accounts for over two-thirds of the app’s revenue.
