Founded 2011, Gushcloud connects audiences and brands to influencers and content creators. It also offers services such as brand strategy, marketing and activation, media production and distribution, as well as co-creating intellectual properties in the content, media, and event spaces.
Along with the deal, the startup announced the appointment of both Chuan and Cheung to its advisory board.
Prior to Premiummall, Chuan was the CEO of Singtel Digital Media. Meanwhile, Cheung previously co-founded Tencent’s QQ Music in China and held founding regional leadership positions at Tencent, Warner Music Group, BBC, Facebook, and Instagram.
“I have had first-hand experience in establishing influencer and creator partnerships at Facebook and Instagram,” said Cheung. “The digital talent and influencer marketing industry will continue to grow as more platforms and companies participate in building out the ecosystem.”
In November 2019, Gushcloud secured US$11 million in a funding round led by GDP Ventures, with participation from KB Investments, Golden Equator Capital, Korea Investment Partners, and Kejora Ventures, as well as hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons.
With 300 employees, it has offices across 11 countries, including Singapore, China, the US, Australia, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan, and Vietnam.
