We got everything we asked for in week two of OGN Champions! On day two, the arena was filled up to the last seat possible, as SKT T1 K faced off against Samsung Blue in one of the most exciting set of games this summer so far. One player stood above them all, as he not only dominated his lane opponent, but also helped out his team in the most crucial moments. Check out our MVP for OGN’s week two:

Acorn’s performance was almost flawless, and his Interventions and Wild Growths were always spot on. Each time he used them, the fights would instantly swing into SGB’s favor in a blink of an eye. Not only did he overwhelm Impact in the top lane, but the amount of pressure that came from Acorn’s lane made the early game a bit lighter for other lanes, which was especially necessary for Piglet’s Twitch.
What impressed me the most is how quickly Samsung players managed to adapt to the newest 4.10 patch and the man who shone the most was Acorn himself. He was simply outstanding at both Kayle and Lulu. He was also the most diverse top laner last split, so it only goes to show how fast he is at learning new champions.
Slowly, but surely, Acorn is starting to get the recognition he deserves for his supportive playstyle and ability to switch into a third carry. I’m really excited to see his performance in the round of eight and I believe there is more to come, because Acorn’s champion pool is like a big box, just waiting to reveal its contents.
