Indonesian fintech firm KoinWorks names ex-Ovo exec as CTO
Indonesian fintech startup KoinWorks has appointed Jim Geovedi as its chief technology officer.
Experience:
- Geovedi had previously worked as a technology advisor at KoinWorks.
- He was also the CTO at Ovo, where he helped the company grow to become one of the biggest e-wallet and payment firms in Indonesia.
More details:
- At KoinWorks, Geovedi will be tasked to build infrastructure and data governance to achieve the company’s aim to be the first fintech unicorn in Indonesia.
- The CTO is planning to expand his team of developers, data scientists and engineers, and the firm’s technical operations.
- Aside from business lending and peer-to-peer investments, KoinWorks has also started providing digital gold saving and invoice financing features, as well as early access to wages for personal and business users, according to the company. The startup said it is currently serving almost 1 million users.
