Food Directory Infojajan.com Launches in Indonesia

Infojajan

The largest information and digital media company in Indonesia, PT Infomedia Nusantara, has launched a new food directory portal: Infojajan.com. It claims to be the biggest and most complete culinary portal, not only because it includes information about a wide range of restaurants, but also because it covers smaller “hawker” food stalls as well.

On Infojajan, visitors can find various culinary information from over 17,000 places of interest. The website is also equipped with a “Nearby” feature that tells users the nearest restaurant to your current location. Infojajan also contains updated menus from selected restaurants, discount promotions, and food recipes. Visitors can contribute commentary, reviews, and ratings to their favorite restaurant or food.

Money well-spent

Infomedia allocated funds amounting to US$590,000 for the development of Infojajan. Currently they are developing mobile applications for smartphones to make it easier for users to find a suitable place to eat. Moving forward, the site will also develop online booking, payment services, and delivery orders.

As a culinary directory, Infojajan will be quite helpful to anyone in search of restaurants and food in Indonesia, particularly tourists. In comparison with how Malaysia spent $590,000 on Facebook apps to help its tourism industry, we think this is money well-spent in Indonesia.
