India-based Mesa School of Business has secured 340 million rupees (US$4.1 million) from Elevation Capital and angel investors to build the country’s first business school focused on creating startup leaders.
Founders Ankit Agarwal and Varun Limaye plan to develop a “hands-on, application-based” curriculum designed in collaboration with industry leaders and the future employers of the school’s initial 60 students.
The 12-month, full-time postgraduate program, based in Bengaluru, will allow students to learn by doing and offer them industry exposure and one-on-one mentorships. Upon completion of the program, students will have access to leadership roles at prominent technology companies and startups in India.
The campus also features facilities for experiential learning and networking opportunities through boot camps, hackathons, and interactions with startup CEOs.
