Backend Developer - Data Power (3 Months)

Responsibilities

• Develop REST and SOAP APIs.
• Configure and develop IBM DataPower Gateway services.
• Handle XML/JSON transformation using XSLT, GatewayScript, and XQuery.
• Implement API security such as OAuth 2.0, JWT, SSL/mTLS, and rate limiting.
• Integrate APIs with back-end systems using HTTP, MQ, JDBC, and other protocols.
• Troubleshoot API/DataPower issues and analyze logs.
• Support SIT, UAT, security testing, and production issues.
• Prepare technical documentation.
• Support deployment from DEV to PROD.
• Ensure development follows company security and architecture standards.
   

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in API development. 
• 1+ year of hands-on experience with IBM DataPower.
• Good knowledge of REST, SOAP, XML, JSON, XSLT, WSDL, and XSD.
• Understanding of API security such as OAuth 2.0, JWT, OIDC, and mTLS.
• Experience with Java/Spring Boot, Node.js, or similar technologies.
• Good knowledge of SQL and databases.
• Familiar with Linux, Git, and CI/CD.
• Banking/financial industry experience is a plus. 
• Experience with IBM API Connect, IBM MQ, ACE, Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift is a plus.
• Good communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
• Able to work under deadlines and support production issues when needed.
