The Supreme People’s Court of China has proposed the use of blockchain tech to establish cross-chain collaborations between courts, law enforcement, and regulators by 2025, Forkast reported.
The court said that blockchain can help judicial systems with the verification and sharing of over 2.2 billion pieces of judicial certificates. The move is aimed at bolstering the efficiency of case filing, information query and verification, and communication between different judicial systems.
The court has also asked the judicial system to partner with blockchain platforms for intellectual property protection, business environment optimization, and other purposes.
The proposal comes amid China’s plan to roll out a state-backed blockchain infrastructure project, Blockchain-based Service Network, for international non-crypto public chains.
The digital currency institute of the People’s Bank of China is also ramping up its efforts to hire for its digital yuan trials and is looking to onboard a technical director in particular.
