China-backed blockchain firm to launch overseas public network
Blockchain-based Service Network (BSN), China’s state-backed blockchain infrastructure project, is rolling out a new international network for non-crypto public chains, reported Forkast.
The network, called BSN Spartan, will be launched on August 31. It will be an open-source network made up of several public chains but will not support any cryptocurrency-based operations, said Yifan He, CEO of BSN developer Red Date Technology.
However, BSN Spartan will still accept cryptocurrencies and Stablecoin USD Coin (USDC) for transaction fees.
To cater to the domestic market, the company had in January launched the BSN-DDC network, a non-fungible token platform.
