Hello reader,

It’s the middle of June, and we’re now officially heading into the second half of the year. Interestingly, it is also the month Naveen Tewari, founder and CEO of Indian adtech giant InMobi, said he expects its Singapore-based adtech subsidiary Glance to hit profitability.

Looking at the company’s latest financial statement, which covers its 2025 financial year ending March 2025, Counterpoint Research co-founder Neil Shah comments in this edition’s featured story that while it may be “an uphill battle,” it’s still within Glance’s reach.

The firm recorded a solid revenue bump of about 34% year on year to US$97.6 million for FY 2025. Loss before tax, meanwhile, decreased from US$111.2 million to US$105.9 million.

Digging deeper into the company’s financial statement, Shah says marketing spend stood out for taking up a big chunk. He adds that an increase in marketing budget is par for the course for the current adtech and mobile ad landscape, but it should still be a signal for “significant improvement” in unit economics.

For Shah, this involves solid revenue growth coupled with a measured approach to marketing efforts.

Also in today’s edition, we take a look at my colleague Duc’s tracker for Southeast Asian tech firms’ financials with a broad scope. The curated list includes the latest available figures for revenue, net profit, and cash flow. Indeed, it offers an overview of how some of our top tech firms are doing.

The company is also betting heavily on AI. In May 2025, it launched Glance AI, a service that suggests clothes that users can buy based on the photos they submit.

In addition to commissions from affiliate links, Glance AI also unlocks advertising as a revenue stream for the platform, with brands competing to gain top spots for recommendations.
