New Incubator and Community Space in Jakarta is Still Nameless, Wants You to Name It

There are two interesting bits of news for Indonesian startups from the Global Entrepreneurship Program Indonesia (GEPI) and property company Ciputra today. They are working together to build a 520 square meter startup community and incubator space in Jakarta and you have the chance to decide the name for that place! 1
This startup community space aims to grow the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the country with a physical space. The idea is to bring together like-minded people in the same space and encourage them to grow the community and work on collaborations.
One stop shop for entrepreneurs
The space will have a large focus on events, meetups, networking sessions, and coaching sessions. The team plans on having at least one event each week and will do their best to keep it open and free.
Not only that, the community space will have free workspace for drop ins. There will also be a dedicated incubation support and acceleration programs for selected entrepreneurs. The incubator itself will focus on tech startups and traditional startups that leverage the usage of technology.
The team will also be announcing a mentor network together with the location of the community space in the coming weeks. So far the place sounds very nice, and we are looking forward to holding our own Meetups there in the future.
Name that space!
Interestingly, the team is now holding a contest for people to name that community space. The contest ends on August 11th and after that users get to vote on the top five names so that one moniker can be selected. Though GEPI and Ciputra do not guarantee that they will use the winning idea as the official name for the incubator, they will still give prizes to the person who comes up with the winning name idea.
I’m curious what names people will put in for that space. My colleague Minghao has suggested the name “Synergy” while I put the name “TechPow” for it. Do you think you have a better name for that space? Go and submit it here and tell us your selection in the comments.
