Have you heard of Mission Against Terror? This free-to-play MMOFPS is getting a huge regional tournament, courtesy of development studio Kingsoft. The company is organizing the MAT China Asian Championship in Dalian, China this year.
The tournament, which will be held over June 27 and 28, will see participants like Malaysian teams EDP RoG and SOD, and Singaporean team HoLyAce.

EDP RoG, SOD, and HoLyAce duked it out in the Battle of the Clans 2014 tournament and took home RM38,500 ($11,909), RM36,000 ($11,136), and RM34,800 worth of prizes respectively, as well as chances to compete in the China championship. The three teams will also receive product sponsorship from gaming peripheral company, Gamdias.
Interestingly enough, the MAT China Asian Championship has a smaller prize pool than the Malaysian MAT qualifier. Its total prize pool is worth RMB25,000, or about $4,000. We don’t know if the games will be streamed yet, but you can be sure we’ll update you when we find out!
