Game of funds: Various verticals win

Hello reader,

One of the articles I’ve read – and added to the Thoughtful Tidbits – this week says 41% of this year’s VC funding has gone to only 10 startups. I think you can easily guess the industry receiving most of it.

Despite that, the top deals this week come from a variety of verticals. Yes, AI still features, but big-money fundraising is clearly still constantly happening elsewhere.

My takeaway is that, if you’re already building something that doesn’t actually need AI, don’t be pressured into incorporating it into your solution just because it’s the latest buzzmaker. Stay true to your fundamentals, and it can pay off.
