Square Enix announced yesterday that North America will be getting a _Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII _ collector’s edition with the February 11, 2014 release. The limited edition will be sold exclusively on Square’s online store for $90.
This may seem expensive, but just take a look at what you get.
Did you catch all that? With this collector’s edition you will get;
- Featured artwork from the Japan release.
- An 80 page hardcover book that contains Tetsuya Nomura’s original sketches, a forward from the art director, and various concept art from the game.
- A silver embossed pocket watch
- Downloadable content that contains FF VII’s Aerith’s flower girl outfit for Lightning to wear.
- And of course the actual Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII game disc for either Xbox 360 or PS3.
The game is being sold in limited quantities so you may want to preorder your copy now. And while it’s technically only available in North America, you should be able to get an imported copy via specialist shops.
