Hello reader,
I met so many startups at the Tech in Asia Conference this past week.
Some had been in the game for a while, and we talked about how they’ve had to pivot amid the pandemic and adapt again as the world began to recover. Others were born during the global crisis and had overcoming adversity more strongly engraved in their DNA.

There were also a couple of familiar names and faces. Bangladeshi ecommerce startup PriyoShop – which had previously won one of Tech in Asia’s Pitch Nights – had a booth set up at our Startup Factory roadshow. Vietnam-based sustainable brand Equo – a Startup Arena 2021 finalist – had a small showcase at the East Ventures booth.
It makes me excited for when I’ll next see the names of some of the new startups that I met at this year’s conference. Perhaps they’ll soon make our list of top fundraises in this newsletter.
Speaking of which, you can find all the important investment deals that happened in the last few days in our weekly funding news wrap-up.

Let’s dive into the biggest deals and M&As that recently took place.
