Entering the Hong Kong market? The MaD Venture Fellows program could give you an extra lift

Applications have opened for the Make a Difference (MaD) Venture Fellows program, which gives six finalists sponsored trips to Hong Kong for the 2013 MaD Forum. The 4-day event from 24th to 27th January revolves around creativity, entrepreneurship, innovation and discovery.

Six winners will be able to pitch their startups to investors and potential partners at the forum. Travel expenses will be fully paid for. Other eligible fellows will get a 50% airfare subsidy.

Judges will pick 3 of the fellows to present at the MaD Forum to inspire other entrepreneurs. The panel consists of personalities from Hong Kong, China, and Asia. They include: Victor Hwang, managing director of T2 Venture Capital from the US and author of “The Rainforest: the Secret to Building the Next Silicon Valley”, and Dr Wong Poh Kam, Director of the NUS Centre for Entrepreneurship.

The 3 top entrepreneurs will also receive a one-year mentorship, business matching services, and a booth at a Hong Kong trade fair.

Only entrepreneurs below 35 and are based in Asia or are seeking for opportunities in the continent may apply. Their startups must be in the early or growth stage, generate positive societal impact, and have at least a 1-year track record. Interested parties must sign up by 28th October 2012 at this page.
