Indian healthtech firm gets $15m boost in Hummingbird-led series A
India-based healthcare startup Eka Care has raised US$15 million in a series A round led by Hummingbird Ventures. Investors including 3one4 Capital and Mirae Asset also participated in the round.

The company was established in December 2020 by Vikalp Sahni and Deepak Tuli, who are also the co-founders of the travel-booking platform Goibibo.
Eka Care allows users to set up multiple health profiles and store and share health records, including vaccination charts, prescriptions, lab reports, and scans.
The healthcare startup said that within the first year of its launch, it became the largest health repository with more than 30 million health records.
The company plans to use the fresh capital for product development and talent acquisition, as well as promoting the benefits of maintaining a health profile, among others.
In August 2021, Eka Care raised US$4.5 million in seed funding from venture capital firms 3one4 Capital, Eximius Ventures, and Speciale Invest. Angel investors, including MakeMyTrip co-founders Deep Kalra and Rajesh Magow, INDmoney founder Ashish Kashyap, and Cred founder Kunal Shah also participated.
