1. Teamie | Singapore
Teamie provides schools and enterprise with a collaboration platform for online quizzes, grade-books, and content sharing. The Singapore-based startup was the winner of our Startup Arena last year and grew from just 2,000 users before the pitching competition to 500,000 today.
2. Rumah | Indonesia
Acquired by Singapore’s PropertyGuru in 2011, Rumah.com is one of Indonesia’s top property listings platforms. Now it has more than 150,000 property listings in Indonesia from over 6,000 property agents. This week, Rumah officially unveiled its iPhone app and the mobile version of its website.
3. SuiShouFang | China
SuiShouFang is an Evernote-like app for iPhone and Android designed for realtors to categorize their properties, with lots of photos, and have it sync across workmates.
4. Milaap | India
Milaap is an online microlending and fundraising platform that works with various grass-roots organizations in India. It successfully raised a round of funding this week led by Jungle Ventures. Check out Milaap’s plans for its civic-minded service.
5. Artsly | Pakistan
Artsly is a video-based social learning platform providing short lessons in make-up, music, photography, food, painting, and handicrafts from various instructors. It’s all done via an iPad app. Though made in Pakistan, the classes are conducted in English and aimed at a global audience.
6. Dexetra | India
Indian app-maker Dexetra, creator of the popular personal analytics app ‘Friday’ and Android’s Siri-like app Iris has launched two new Android creations – Dialapp, a smart dialer, and Trails, which gives a map view of your life events.
