Chinese rapper Keyso's League of Legends song rings in the new LPL season, and we've got subtitles
The LPL summer season in China kicked off last weekend, and while most of the opening ceremony was exactly what you’d expect, it certainly kicked off with something I didn’t see coming: a Chinese-language rap song about League of Legends. And even more surprising: it’s pretty good!
The song, which you can find embedded below with English subtitles courtesy of yours truly, was written and performed by Chinese rapper Keyso. The 27-year-old rapper is best known in China for his breakout performance on the reality TV contest China’s Got Talent. While he didn’t ultimately win, his appearance on the show landed him some advertisement and TV music work and now—apparently—this gig rapping about the pleasures and perils of League of Legends. Enjoy.
