Nikkei Business Publications to Hold Game Networking Jakarta

Nikkei BP (Nikkei Business Publications) is going to hold Game Networking Jakarta on May 28 at the Grand Hyatt Jakarta Ballroom. Nikkei BP, also the organizer of the annual Tokyo Game Show, said the goal of this networking event is to bridge the Indonesian and Japanese gaming companies, with a particular focus on the smartphone industry.
There has been a significant rise in social gaming in correspondence with the rise smartphones, and Japanese game developers are rushing to produce and create games, and they’re hiring too. Yet, there has been a shortage of domestic developers. And with that in mind Nikkei BP is trying to help Japanese gaming companies to make partnerships with Indonesian mobile and social game developers.
Along with platinum sponsors such as Konami(NYSE:KNM), GREE, and SEGA, Nikkei will also try to bring big names from Japan such as Capcom, Sony Computer Entertainment, Square Enix, Tecmo Koei, and Namco Bandai Games among others. This is a huge opportunity for the Indonesian game industry to learn from the best and create relationships to be able to make it in the global market.
The registration for attendees from Indonesia is free and those who are registered will be invited to the Tokyo Game Show Business Day in Japan. The agenda of the event will start with business meetings and conferences from 10am until 5.30pm and will be continued with a networking party until 7.30pm. I believe this is a must attend event for Indonesia game developers and companies. It will be interesting to see how many partnerships will be born out of this networking event.
