Blade and Soul gets a Japanese release date plus new anime trailer

Last weekend NCSoft held a premiere show to announce the Japanese release date for its hit MMORPG Blade and Soul. The game has been a major success in both South Korea and China, and the company hopes to duplicate this success in Japan starting May 20, 2014.

Before its May 20 release, NCSoft announced that the game will be in closed beta from May 13 through May 15, after which it will enter into an open beta from May 16 through May 19. The company also announced that the game would have a basic pay-to-play model and would include a monthly charge, but did not mention how much Blade and Soul will cost to play per month.

In addition to the PC news, Blade and Soul also released a new trailer for its upcoming anime.
