1. Wifi Interactive Networks | Philippines
Wifi Interactive Networks or WIN, has come up with the novel idea of getting packaged goods manufacturers to deliver wifi to the mass consumer market. If a consumer purchases a sachet of a sponsoring brand’s shampoo, they will get internet access for a certain number of minutes
2. D Free | Japan and US (Startup Profile)
D Free is a wearable that warns you when your next bowel movement is imminent, using ultrasound technology. The gizmo, worn somewhere close to the tummy, monitors your intestines and sends a signal to your phone.
3. Airwallex | Hong Kong and Australia
Currently in beta, Airwallex lets you pay tuition fees, pay a contractor, or invoice a client in another country, in your own currency. Businesses can embed its APIs to help users pay for cross-border purchases on their stores.
4. Prosecure | India
Founded by the former CTO of Grab, Prosecure is a fintech startup that creates products aimed at ecommerce companies. Its first product is supposed to help online merchants on ecommerce platforms save money on reverse logistics operations – for example, helping with costs related to shipping returned items.
