4 exhibiting startups that caught our eye at TIA BLR 2016

As soon as doors to Tech in Asia Bangalore 2016 opened, the early birds amongst us immediately took to exploring the Bootstrap Alley segment. Always a fun segment to explore, this batch of startups didn’t disappoint. From roaming mascots to automated cocktail makers, these four startups exercised their creative freedom and stood out among the 124 booths at our inaugural India conference.

1. Pepipost

Pepipost went all out for their first time with us. With a flashy booth and roaming mascot, they were close to impossible to miss, and delighted many attendees at the conference who seized photo opportunities.

They weren’t just outstanding in person. Online, the email delivery startup made a striking impression on social media with their frequent, timely, and relevant tweets. Using the event hashtag (it’s #tiablr2016 in case you forgot!), Pepipost specially created attractive visuals, driving even more footfall to their booth.

2. Vulcantronics

This hardware startup definitely thrilled those who love a good drink with Barsys, a smart cocktail machine. If that wasn’t enough to warrant the attention of passers-by, the simple and sleek design definitely stood out from the crowd and inspired memories of fun, relaxing times.

3. Brelo

You’d be forgiven if you walked past Audoce’s booth thinking it was part of a furniture showroom. Their product, Brelo, is a door lock you can control via your smartphone, allowing you to lock, share secure keys, or receive emergency notifications on your home. By creating the right setting, it not only stood out from the rest of the booths at a tech conference but also made it easy for attendees to see why they needed one in their own home.

4. Cutshort

When hunting for a job, many of us rely on recommendations from friends or trusted reviews online. Cutshort, a job portal claiming to be the most straightforward path for job applicants (hence the name), seems to know that. Where you would expect a typical company slogan printed on their booth, they shared a series of tweets from customers to raise their credibility.

If you want to catch the highlights, take a peek through the eyes of other attendees using the hashtag #tiablr2016 on social media.
