Taipei Game Show 2015 didn’t just showcase a record-breaking number of indie games. Some of them are really awesome to boot. It also had a lot of casual little gems that can definitely ease your daily commute once they launch. The games listed here are in development unless noted otherwise.
Battle Spheres (Singapore)
Never got the chance to play Japan’s super-popular Monster Strike? Never you mind. Singapore’s Ixora Studios has come out with a similar game, albeit with a friendlier art style. Battle Spheres is a mobile slingshot game that works just like its inspiration does: shoot little monster balls around the map until you eradicate the enemy.
Apart from your usual gashapon and character growth features, there will also be a multiplayer mode. It’s set for release this year.
Four Pigs Soccer (Taiwan)

Also known as 小猪足球 in Chinese, Four Pigs Soccer from Taiwan’s Happy Soul Games is a four player local co-op game where each player controls a pig trying to get the soccer ball and score a goal. As you can imagine, such party games always end up with a lot of excited screaming and yelling. There’s another version of the game with the same concept called The Four Pigs, where players vie to escape a monster and to steal the most apples possible. Both games are available on iOS, while Android has just Four Pigs Soccer.
The Guys (Taiwan)
Your task as the super-buff firefighter in The Guys is to lead hordes of screaming, trapped victims of a huge house fire to safety. The catch? You can only walk in one direction, and to avoid fire, you can only break through the floor into the room below.
The Guys sounds easier than it really is: the lack of a jumping mechanic will force you to think quickly on your feet, and it’s pretty hilarious when your train of victims gets burned up because you walked through a fire. This endless game from INFINI Studio is available on Android.
Daebark (South Korea)
