The fund targets startups within the medtech, fintech, insurtech, and general deep-tech industries. It has already invested in logistics platform Kargo Myanmar, which is expanding through supply chain management solutions.

The new fund is supported by investors such as Aurum Investments director Michelle Yong, PropertyGuru co-founder Jani Rautianen, and former Lazada president Stein Jakob Oie.

Cocoon Capital also said it looks to host regular public mentoring hours in Singapore, Ho Chi Minh, Hanoi, Manila, Bangkok, Jakarta, and Yangon to help grow local entrepreneurial ecosystems.

Since being founded in 2016, Cocoon Capital has been focused on backing early-stage deep tech and business-to-business companies across Southeast Asia. Its previous investments include Singapore medtech company See-Mode, Filipino e-merchant Poundit, and Vietnam-based adtech firm Hiip.
