The first cohort includes startups focusing on big data, ecommerce, human resources, logistics, software-as-a-service, transportation, and remittances. They come from countries across Asia, including Bangladesh, Malaysia, Indonesia, Pakistan, Singapore, the Philippines, and Vietnam.

Each participating startup will receive about US$72,000 in funding, an office space in Downtown Singapore, and access to providers such as Amazon Web Services, HubSpot, and Tribe Theory.

The accelerator program will begin with a three-month period of weekly activities, followed by a one-month period that includes a Startup Mastery Program in San Francisco and Silicon Valley, as well as a demo day.

The participating startups include:

  • BeamAndGo, a payments and digital market startup based in the Philippines.
  • Datanest, an Indonesian data science-as-a-service startup driven by artificial intelligence and machine learning.
  • DeafTawk, a Pakistan-based firm that offers online sign language interpretation services.
  • Klaud9, an online platform based in Singapore that links photographers with
    brands.
  • Loop, a Bangladesh-based startup that offers a marketplace for full truckload freight.
  • Medlink, a healthtech startup from Vietnam that connects consumers, pharmacies, and pharmaceutical companies.
  • Panalyt, an AI-driven startup from Singapore that puts analytics in the hands of managers across organizations.
  • TalentTribe, a Singapore-based recruitment platform aimed at the new generation of job seekers.
  • Web2Ship, a Malaysian logistics startup that offers online sellers a platform to book different courier and postal services.
  • Zantrik, a Bangladesh-based startup that offers an automotive service and resource platform.

Accelerating Asia also said it will finalize the first close of its pre-seed fund in July, which will commit up to US$5 million to invest in more than 40 regional startups. A demo day for the fund will take place in October 3, 2019, with applications for the next cohort following shortly after.
