As the Olympics heat up halfway around the world, these funded startups are kicking into gear in India. An adtech startup gets some funding from Japan. A tech startup for housing and commercial communities, and an art and jewelry ecommerce site join the startups that have secured investments on Monday and over the weekend.

AdPushup

AdPushup, based in the US with an office in New Delhi, has raised an undisclosed amount in series A funding. Softbank Group-backed Japanese adtech company Geniee led the round. Purvi Capital and existing investors also participated.

The funding news comes with an announcement: the startup’s services will expand to Japan and Southeast Asia.

Founded in January 2014 by Atul Agarwal and Ankit Oberoi, AdPushup partners with networks like Google’s AdSense to help users test and streamline ad layouts.

AdPushup also raised seed funding in 2014 from a clutch of angel investors and graduated from Bangalore’s Microsoft Ventures accelerator.

Zipgrid connects communities online, helps community managers with efficiency, and enables any connected member to provide feedback via the online portal. It also helps set deadlines for neighborhood projects.

Co-founded by Jaydip Popat and Kunal Gupta, Zipgrid is present in Mumbai and Ahmedabad. It claims to serve over 70 housing communities.
