Poohmandu leaves SK Telecom T1 temporarily for health reasons

Just this weekend, SK Telecom T1 won a smashing victory in OGN Champions, making a compelling argument that they are the best League of Legends team in the world. But today comes grimmer news: Poohmandu is leaving the team, at least for a while, to focus on his health.

Lee “Poohmandu” Jyeong-hyeon is SKT1’s support, and at 21 he is the most senior and experienced member of the team. But he has suffered from issues with chronic illness throughout his childhood and it is apparently those same issues that are now forcing him to step away from the competitive scene for a while.

Hopefully, Poohmandu recovers quickly and can rejoin the team in good health soon. But in the meantime, it’s not clear whether SK Telecom T1 can keep its impressive streak of wins alive with a stand-in supporting Chae “Piglet” Gwang-jin in bot lane. According to Gosu Gamers, the team will be holding tryouts to find a temporary replacement for Pooh from now through February 6.
