Intel delays AI chip designed to rival Nvidia
Intel has announced that it will not move forward with the commercial launch of its Falcon Shores AI processor.
The chip will now function solely as an internal test platform to facilitate the development of the next-generation Jaguar Shores chip and a broader AI solution for data centers.
Falcon Shores was introduced last year in response to Nvidia’s leading position in the AI processor market.
It was initially planned for release in 2024.
