Founded by serial entrepreneur Ario Tamat in 2019, KaryaKarsa can help content creators distribute and monetize their works, such as books, comics, and videos.
Currently, there are 40,000 creators and 300,000 users on KaryaKarsa’s platform. According to a statement, the number of transactions on the platform increased by 60% in October compared to the previous month.
The company will use the fresh funds to provide more offerings and onboard more content creators.
Along with the investment, the company also appointed JP Ellis – founder of regional fintech company C88 – as an advisor. Earlier this year, KaryaKarsa joined Accelerating Asia’s third cohort and got an investment from the program.
