Win the top prize of US$15,000 in Arena at Tech in Asia Singapore 2015

Bindo answering judges’ questions on stage at Arena in Singapore in 2014

Less than one year ago, the Hong Kong and New York-city based point-of-sales and inventory management software company, Bindo, was just one amongst ten ready to step up on stage to give a five-minute pitch in front of a live audience and eagle-eyed investors on the judging panel. The hundreds of people watching were hungry to know what problems the startups were solving, what solutions they were providing, and why they will be the next big thing.

Bindo won.

Barely three weeks after the conference, Arena winner Bindo raised a seed round of US$1.8 million from an American VC and angel, and Indonesia-Japan’s East Ventures. Willson Cuaca of East Ventures, who judged Bindo on that pitch, must have seen something he really liked up on the Arena stage at last year’s Tech in Asia conference in Singapore.

This year, Arena is back and open for applications. This time, the top prize has been increased to US$15,000.
